An Overview of Rotavator Blades

Rotavator a piece of multipurpose tillage machinery used in primary and secondary tillage work. Rotavator is a set of blades that powered by a tractor. A tractor rotavator comes in different sizes on the basis of the blade assembly and gearbox.

rotavator blades

The impact of the type of blades on the power demand of a tractor-drawn rotavator during puddling clay soil was examined, For this purpose, there are mainly 3 types of blade used in a rotavator.

  1. C -shaped
  2. L -shaped
  3. C - L shaped blades or C-L blades

The PTO revolving was estimated by a PTO drive revolving transducer and the strength consumed was calculated for each blade accessory. The puddling quality was estimated in terms of rate reduction in bulk frequency and puddling index.

With the help of multi-speed gear rotavator different forward speeds of 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 km/h can be achieved. Let's learn about what types of the blade is more effective and powerful task finisher here

To data published by the effect of moves and three rotavator passes were given. 'C'-shaped blades consumed less power in comparison of 'L' and 'C-L' blade adjuncts at any forward speed and pass.

The 'L' blade appears as a heavy thrash attachment that required 33 to 14% of power, while the 'C-L' blade attachment required 14% to 4% higher power than the 'C' blade type rotavator during the pass one at 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 km/h moving speeds, respectively.

The power consumed reduced at higher routes. For all blades, power during the 1st pass was more leading than the other two passes. For the 'C' blade, the per cent decline in bulk density and the puddling index was higher associated to the per cent reduction in bulk density and puddling index taken with 'L' and 'C-L' blade rotavators.

with all the study and data the 'C' shaped blade did better than the other two types blade. But C shaped blade is not ideal for deeper cultivation.
